This year Rivera Elementary students surpassed their goal of raising $2000 during our Pennies for Patients campaign. Our students and their families raised $4829.21 to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) California Southland Chapter. Our donation will go to research and patient aid. The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is to "cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins's disease and myeloma, as well as improve the quality of life of patients and their families." We are proud of our Eagles for their display of compassion for others through their extraordinary efforts in this care project. SOAR Eagles, SOAR!
