Transitional Kinder Parents,

Welcome to Transitional Kindergarten in Room 18.   My name is Mrs. Kelleher.   This is my 25th year as a classroom teacher, with 22 years with El Rancho. I have taught grades from Transitional Kindergarten to 8th grade.  TK is by far my fav.   I am proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Education.  I sincerely love this job!  I can't wait for another TK adventure to begin.

Despite current Covid Restrictions and Safety protocols rest assured I will be working diligently to support the learning and developmental needs of each child.   With open minds, a little patience, and the willingness to try things new our tiny humans will not only learn but excel.

This year's journey began on Wednesday, August  10, 2022, our first day of school.

I am so excited to meet them during our Teacher meet and greet.  Students will have the opportunity to see the class and visit with me.   Short assessments will also be conducted to plan and guide instruction.   Classdojo.com is a communication app that can be downloaded on any smart device.  It is your main source for up-to-date information about all things TK.    Use the link below to join and communicate today:

You can also reach me via email at [email protected] or via Classdojo.com direct message.   I will try my best to respond within 24 hours or less.   Please reach out. I am here to support you in any way I can!

Our goal is to make transitional kindergarten a memorable and rewarding experience for both you and your child. I understand it is an important milestone for both of you.

Transitional Kindergarten provides the foundation for formal academic learning.  It is also a place our little ones develop of love of learning that can last a lifetime.  Your involvement can have no greater impact than in Transitional Kindergarten.   Invest the time and energy in your child's education today and yield powerful benefits for years to come.   An investment in their learning now can insure success in future grades. Together our little eagles will soar.

TK is about experimenting,  playing, and using all their senses to explore the world. “Hands-on to get our learning on”, is our TK mantra.  A list of class supplies is posted on Classdojo.  Materials for home learning experiences will be going home too.  Store items in a safe, easy-to-find place for now.  More will come as their skills and abilities grow.    Check out my donorschoose.com page and help get the word out about our latest classroom projects:

Happy learning,

Mrs. Kelleher
