Caring Students Named for the Month of May

Twenty-five students were selected by their teachers to be honored as those students who demonstrated the most traits of being a caring person. During the school year the different traits of Character Counts will be celebrated. For May the trait was Caring. Kindergarteners honored were Bryana Acevedo, Aliah Lopez, Ruby Paz, Roxanne Preciado and Hailey Salmeron. First graders were Jennifer Landaverde, Layla Navarro, Paulina Sandoval ad Jennifer Zuniga. Second graders were Alejandro Martin Del Campo, Denise Herrera, Alyssa Melendrez, Isaiah Medina and Dana Mendoza. Third graders were Melinda Dilaveroglu, Naomi Murino, Priscilla Ortega, Andrea Sanchez and Rianna Torres. Fourth graders were Marcus Rodriguez, Linda Saucedo and Vanessa Villa. Fifth graders were Gabriela Hernandez, Cassandra Saldana and Emily Vasquez.

Twenty-five students were selected by their teachers to be honored as those students who demonstrated the most traits of being a trustworthy person. During the school year the different traits of Character Counts will be celebrated. For April the trait was Trustworthiness. Kindergarteners honored were Joslyn McCullar, David Alonso, Christian Barajas, Joseph Zesati and James Encinas,. First graders were JAndrew Gallegos, Adrian Perez, Natalie DIaz and George Hurtado. Second graders were Kylie Martinez, Dalila Romero, Savannah Hernandez and Celeste Arellano. . Third graders were Pablo Estrada, Citlali Adame, Melanie Ortega, Helen Mendez and Christian Alvarez. Fourth graders were Marta Acosta, Stephanie Mendiola and Nya Marquez. Fifth graders were Samantha Rodriguez, Rene Gallegos and Evelyn Mendoza.

RIvera Teachers Announce Winners of Respect Award for March

Twenty-five students were selected by their teachers to be honored as those students who demonstrated the most traits of being a respectful person. During the school year the different traits of Character Counts will be celebrated. For February & March the trait was Respect. Kindergarteners honored were Anabel Benavides, Elise Buentrostro, Anthony Estrada, Edward Montano and Lucia Saucedo. First graders were Jennifer Alva, Korina Carrasco, Daniel Estrada and Kiana Vidana. Second graders were Tony Aceves, Francisco Isaac Barrios, Sonny Brock, Daniel Gonzalez and Juan Perez. Third graders were Aria Hernandez, Marlene Perez, Mia Rodriguez, Erik Sierra and Abel Vasques. Fourth graders were Alexandra Aldana, Andres Arzate and Katya Gutierrez.
